Work also includes revising and monitoring preventive maintenance and overhaul schedules; preparing and maintaining repair and cost records; creating, maintaining, and analyzing detailed reports on work and repairs made on equipment and vehicles to ensure efficiency and accuracy of work and repairs completed. The selected applicant for this position will drive multiple shop efficiencies by adjusting workflows, monitoring metrics, application of, planning, organization, development, and scheduling of assigned tasks to employees. An employee in this class participates in the selection, placement, promotion, safety, training, appraisal, and discipline of assigned employees. Work requires the exercise of considerable independent judgment and initiative in carrying out assignments. Salary: $73,036 - $117,013 Close Date: 06-12-2026 (11:59 PM) To Qualify Minimum Qualifications. Applicants must: Possess a valid high school diploma or GED equivalency. Possess and maintain a valid Driver License. Have supplemental, special training in automotive equipment repair. Have at least six (6) years of professional experience in the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment. Have at least two (2) years of professional supervisory experience. Be able to identify mechanical problems and causes and recommend corrective procedures or preventive maintenance requirements. Be able to accurately maintain records, prepare reports and perform basic mathematical calculations. Be proficient in the use of a personal computer to enter and retrieve data and to prepare documents. Be able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing. Acknowledge this position is designated as Emergency Critical (EC) and if hired into the position, you must be immediately available to the department before, during, and after a declared emergency and/or disaster. Desirable Qualifications. Preferred applicants: Have thorough knowledge of the operation, repair and preventive maintenance requirements of internal combustion gasoline and diesel engines and drive train and chassis parts on powered movable equipment. Have considerable knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions required of the work. Demonstrate high proficiency for measuring and adapting work to drive optimum efficiencies. Are able to plan, organize, schedule, establish standards, prioritize and supervise the work of a staff of supervisors, mechanics, and others, as assigned. Are skilled in the use of Microsoft Office suite applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Are skilled in the use of Asset Works M5 Operations software program.
