We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Manager to lead daily production operations in a fast-paced fresh produce processing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in food manufacturing, specifically in fruit and vegetable processing, cutting, packing, and production workflow management.

Position Summary
The Production Manager will oversee daily production activities, ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, manage production staff, improve operational efficiencies, and support a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

This position requires a strong floor presence, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a refrigerated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee daily production operations for fresh-cut fruit and vegetable processing.
Supervise production employees and line leads to ensure production goals, quality standards, and labor efficiencies are achieved.
Monitor cutting, washing, packaging, labeling, and finished product processes.
Ensure compliance with all food safety, GMP, HACCP, OSHA, FDA, SQF, and company requirements.
Coordinate production schedules to meet customer demands and shipping deadlines.
Conduct routine line checks to ensure product quality, proper counts, weights, seals, and packaging integrity.
Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Train, coach, and develop production staff while enforcing company policies and procedures.
Work closely with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Procurement teams to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventative maintenance as needed.
Maintain accurate production records and reporting documentation.

Qualifications

Required:
Minimum 5 years of production management experience in food manufacturing
Experience with fresh-cut produce, fruits, and vegetables strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, Food Safety Regulations, OSHA Standards, and Production Scheduling
Proven leadership and team management experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work in a cold/refrigerated environment and fast-paced production setting

Preferred:
SQF or GFSI audit experience
Bilingual English/Spanish
Forklift Certification
ERP or production software experience

Schedule
Full-Time
Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed
