Micro Metals is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk Lead to oversee daily shipping activities and support the efficient movement of products to our customers. The Shipping Clerk Lead is responsible for coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, and assisting with the day-to-day direction of shipping operations. This role works closely with Production, Quality, Customer Service, and Management to ensure orders are processed accurately and shipped on time.

What You'll Do

Lead and coordinate daily shipping activities to support production schedules and customer requirements
Prepare, review, and verify shipping documentation including packing slips, bills of lading, labels, certifications, and customer-specific paperwork
Utilize ERP systems and other software platforms to enter, track, and maintain shipping records
Monitor shipment schedules and proactively resolve shipping discrepancies or delays
Coordinate with freight carriers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries
Assist with inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and material movement as needed
Train and support team members on shipping processes and procedures
Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, and safety policies
Maintain an organized, efficient, and professional shipping department

What We're Looking For

High school diploma or GED required
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, or logistics experience required
Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred
Advanced computer skills required, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, ERP systems, and data entry applications
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
