This position oversees the day to day operations of a food production plant and the activities of the production staff and schedules production, controls inventories, and assists in training and motivating team members. Ensures the proper flow of product to the customer. Onsite Monday-Friday with typically 8am-5pm shifts. Flexibility required for on call and weekend scheduling as needed. Limited travel. What You'll be Doing: Practice 200% Safety accountability (self and others). Direct all plant manufacturing operations in an efficient manner Manage all team leaders and production staff. Maintain and improve productivity, decreasing unit cost. Ensure good manufacturing practices (GMP) are maintained. Maintain and improve health and safety performance. Ensure manufacturing team is fully trained and motivated. Confirm production targets are met to ensure a high quality of customer service. Develop and manage operating budgets. Lead by example with regard to people, food, and safety. What You Bring with You (Qualifications): Bachelor's degree in related field preferred ~OR~ equivalent work experience. A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in food manufacturing. 5-10 years of hands-on plant experience in the dairy or food industry. Blow mold and HTST experience are preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong leadership skills not limited to but must include team building and talent development Ability to deliver results and make decisions while juggling multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills. Reliable and consistent attendance required.
