Distribution Associate - 3rd Shift Job Description The Distribution Associate on 3rd shift supports a growing, production-based operation by accurately processing, packing, and shipping customer orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role focuses on ensuring that products meet customer specifications, orders ship on time, and inventory remains organized and accurate. Responsibilities Process and audit customer orders to ensure accuracy and completeness before fulfillment. Process and audit company products so they meet specific customer requirements and order details. Pack products securely and efficiently for shipment, following established packing standards. Ship completed orders to designated customer locations using the appropriate shipping methods and documentation. Inspect products to verify that they meet customer specifications and quality standards prior to shipment. Sort and count parts to support accurate order fulfillment and inventory control. Handle cardboard and packaging waste by collecting and placing it into the compactor to maintain a clean work area. Support shipping and receiving activities, including staging, labeling, and organizing products as needed. Assist with basic inventory tasks such as counting, labeling, and tracking stock levels. Follow all safety, quality, and productivity guidelines while working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Essential Skills Prior experience working in a warehouse environment. Experience with order picking in a distribution or warehouse setting. Experience with packing products for shipment. Experience with shipping processes and preparing orders for dispatch. Experience with receiving incoming products and materials. Experience with basic inventory activities such as tracking, organizing, and replenishing stock. Ability to accurately count parts and products. Ability to label products and packages clearly and correctly. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, production-based environment. Attention to detail when processing, auditing, and inspecting orders and products. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with shipping and receiving operations in a distribution center or similar environment. Comfort working with basic warehouse tools and equipment related to picking, packing, and shipping. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple orders and tasks simultaneously. Reliability and consistency in meeting productivity and quality expectations. Ability to work collaboratively with team members in a friendly, laid-back environment. Why Work Here? The operation is production-based, so you will work with a steady flow of orders while maintaining quality and safety standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milan, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
