Warehouse Worker Job Description The Utility Operator supports a high-volume distribution center that ships office and facility supplies nationwide. This role focuses on hands-on warehouse tasks such as packaging, palletizing, and preparing orders for shipment while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area. The position is entry-level and well-suited for individuals who are reliable, flexible, and comfortable working on their feet throughout the shift. Responsibilities Package products accurately and efficiently according to order requirements. Palletize boxes and materials in a safe and organized manner for shipment. Pick and pack items from warehouse inventory to fulfill customer orders. Prepare orders for shipping, including labeling, staging, and organizing outbound materials. Follow all instructions and perform a variety of general labor tasks as assigned. Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including disposing of debris and organizing materials. Support production and distribution center operations by completing tasks on time and to quality standards. Adhere to all safety guidelines and report any issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel. Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production and shipping goals. Remain flexible and willing to assist in different areas of the warehouse as operational needs change. Essential Skills Ability to stand on your feet for the entire shift. Capability to perform repetitive physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and moving products. Reliability and punctuality for a full-time, first-shift schedule. Willingness to follow directions and adapt to changing daily tasks. Attention to detail when picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous warehouse experience is a plus. Experience with picking and packing in a distribution or production environment is beneficial. Work Environment This position is based in a very clean, well-ventilated distribution center focused on office and facility supplies. The work is performed on-site in a warehouse setting with general labor, pick, pack, and production activities. The schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You will spend most of the day on your feet performing physical tasks in a structured, organized environment. The facility emphasizes cleanliness, safety, and orderly operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Groveport, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
