ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:

The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of responsible administrative, clerical, and warehouse operations duties to support the daily operations of the Warehouse Department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verifies physical inventory counts and reconciliations, which include but are not limited to monthly cycle counts, inventory movement validation, and adjustment reports to ensure accuracy across all buildings.
  • Verifies clerical computations against the physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count. Investigate and report reasons for discrepancies.
  • Collaborates with multiple departments to resolve inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to find solutions.
  • Monitor inventory in high volume locations and ensure product is properly transferred and moved between departments.
  • Responsible for using strong interpersonal skills to interact daily with all department managers to gather information and improve upon inventory processes.
  • Works in conjunction with Warehouse leadership to accurately assess, track, and forecast warehouse space availability needs.
  • Verifies accurate internal truck inventory movements between buildings and ensures they are being accurately recorded in ERP systems.
  • Monitor and accurately account for items for disposal purposes. Ensure appropriate paperwork and documentation are completed.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse department to locate and repair any damaged pallets or product.
  • Locate and verify product weights against receipt and ERP inventory systems.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities in conjunction with safety standards, protocols, and expectations.
  • Pulls samples as needed and adjusts them in the ERP systems.
  • Performs various tasks in the ERP system to ensure company processes are being followed.
  • Works in conjunction with Quality Assurance, and other departments as needed, to monitor product shelf-life status and consumption rates to ensure FIFO status is maintained.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL/SKILLS NEEDED:

  • Managing inventory cycle counts.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and an ability to interact well with all department managers and employees in gathering needed information to constantly improve and update inventory.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Outlook)
  • Must have a strong understanding of ERP systems and exhibit a strong understanding of computers.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, concepts, and terms related to manufacturing Preferred.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate well with others.
  • Able to work as a strong team player in a group but also perform independently.
  • Needs to be a 'self-starter'.
  • Detail-oriented, able to develop and extract reports from ERP system, and track information as needed and/or as requested.
  • Strong troubleshooting/reasoning skills.
  • Ability to successfully multi-task with good planning/prioritizing skills.
  • Strong basic math skill
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely according to company safety protocol.
  • English comprehension including speaking, reading, and writing is required for our business's necessity to ensure a safe and effective work environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with ERP systems and inventory control preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • May require the employee to frequently lift and/or carry up to thirty (30) pounds.
  • Required to stand, sit, for an entire shift.
  • Requires frequent pushing and pulling up to fifty (30) pounds.
  • Requires infrequent repetitive motion.
  • Requires bending, twisting, stooping, and squatting.
  • Must be able to work in various indoor temperatures including elevated heat, humidity, and cold.
  • Infrequently exposed to elevated noise levels which occur below OSHA thresholds.
  • Exposure to various spices and food manufacturing smells throughout a work shift.
  • Requires frequent visual quality control observations.
  • Ability to climb up and down a step stool ladder.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment [PPE]
  • Required to follow Good Manufacturing Practices [GMPs]
  • Exposure to food allergens such as, but not limited to, milk eggs, tree nuts, wheat, and soybeans will occur.
