What you'll do:- Oversee and manage all aspects of the branch as a profit center, including HVAC distribution operations, sales, warehouse, and administration
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of inside and outside sales representatives, warehouse staff, and support personnel to drive performance and accountability
- Drive revenue growth by developing and executing branch sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and expanding the existing customer base of HVAC contractors, mechanical contractors, and service technicians
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, serving as an escalation point for complex service or product issues
- Manage branch P&L, monitor financial performance, and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed revenue, margin, and expense targets
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels of HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs
- Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to stay current on product lines, promotions, and technical updates — and train the team accordingly
- Partner with the Branch Credit Manager to manage accounts receivable, establish credit terms, and maintain a healthy account base
- Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment, coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams to meet customer delivery expectations
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth and adjust branch strategy accordingly
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development
- Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring full compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and industry standards across all branch operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient branch facility that reflects QXO's standards for operational excellence
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree or one to two years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior leadership experience in HVAC distribution or a related industry strongly preferred
- Knowledge of HVAC products, equipment, and industry trends
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus
- Valid driver's license
- Proven leadership skills, including the ability to manage teams and inspire others to perform at their best
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with HVAC contractors, customers, vendors, and team members
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively
