Employment Term: August 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027
Salary: Stipend of $5000 paid in equal installments for work performed.

Qu alifications :
- High school diploma
- Hold current WV Bus Driver Certification
- At least 2 years Head Start experience
- Supervisory experience required
- Ability to work well with others
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees the operational, administrative and compliance aspects of three counties .
- Operational Management : Supports driver s' development of routes; ensures route efficiency and effectiveness; oversees schedules and field trips.
- Supervision & Training : Supervise and eva luate county lead drivers performance; recruit when vacancies occur; ensure appropriate evaluations are completed on drivers and bus aides ; collaborate/conduct training and manage attendance . Track training for each driver to ensure training hrs. are met for renewal of certification. Maintain confidentiality.
- Compliance & Safety : Assure daily transportation safety compliance with Federal Performance Standards, State transportation , chi ld care regulations and Policy 2525 ; review and submit in required time frame any accident paperwork.
- Logistics & Scheduling : Manage and/or fill in for absences.
- Communication & Support : Serve as contact between management, drivers and parents in own county and support leads in other two counties.
- Technology & Reporting : Manage data, timely receipt of monthly paperwork to main office , support video monitoring checks of driver s compliance and safety
- Other duties as assigned
Additional General Requirements :
- Adhere to Head Start Performance Standards, childcare licensin g, EPIC and EPIC Head Start/Pre - K/Early Head Start Policies and Procedures and NAEYC Code of Ethics.
- Participate in meetings, trainings and continuing education programs as required or suggested by Head Start and sponsoring organizations.
- Prepare and submit written reports as required .
- Attend evening meetings and perform overnight travel as required .
- Comply with all WVDE requirements and WVDHHR regulations.
- Agency approval of Criminal Investigation Bureau records.

This position may require strenuous activity including but not limited to standing, bending, kneeling, lifting , holding, etc.
- to assure the well-being and safety of children ranging from approximately 25 to 80+ pounds
- to carry supplies into homes, office , etc.

- to fulfill other reasonable duties and responsibilities as required by the supervisor
Work Environment : The selected candidate must transport him/herself by personal vehicle from one work site to another on a regular basis. Designated work sites may include locations not owned or operated by EPIC including outdoor venues, public facilities, school buildings and/or private residences .
