Freight Transportation Dispatcher

We are currently seeking an experienced and professional dispatcher to help coordinate and assign movement of freight for our company trucks and manage our team of professional drivers.

Qualifications:

2 YEARS OR MORE OF DISPATCH EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE

Knowledge of FMCSA HOS Rules and Regulation

Transportation, supply chain and logistics experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent negotiation skills

Strong problem solving skills and ability to multitask

Ability to manage challenging situations and people as needed

Organization and time management skills

Responsibilities:

Find loads/reloads and schedule/assign drivers to those loads

Negotiate with brokers and clients via phone and email

Complete broker carrier packets

Review deliveries/pickups to ensure all customer requirements are met while following HOS Rules

Communicate to brokers via websites/phone calls/email of drivers in/out times and PODs

Keep company trucks moving and profitable

Notifying drivers of their active loads and reloads

Help drivers with loading/unloading issues

Solve possible load issues

Manage driver routes and fueling, and ensure drivers have quality home time scheduled

Maximize driver miles and ensure you are meeting monthly mileage goals

Ensure spreadsheet is up to date with all load required information

Identify any problems and issues and create appropriate action plans to achieve desirable outcome

Daily communication with drivers, customers, and management
