Branch Operations Manager (40 hour per week)

Battleground Community Library has an opening for a full-time Branch Operations Manager. This position reports to the Branch Manager and participates in managing the day-to-day operations of the branch. They directly supervise employees. This role is responsible for:
- Prioritizing and scheduling staff and daily activities for the branch
- Training, mentoring, evaluating and providing performance feedback to staff, volunteers and substitutes
- Responding to patron problems, seeking to resolve them and providing positive outcomes; providing direction and guidance for other staff in resolving patron problems
- Checking out books, processing holds and shelving books
- Helping patrons with their accounts
- Assisting patrons with technology such as computers and eDevices to download ebook
- Providing direction and guidance to staff all processes and systems related to patron accounts and material circulation
- Participating in organizational meetings and committees
- Serving as a back-up facilitator for programs, such as storytimes, when regular facilitators are unavailable

Education & Experience
To be considered, applicants must have at least:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Three (3) to five (5) years of related work experience; including customer service.
- Two (2) to five (5) years of supervisory experience of employee workers. This does not include working as PIC, supervising volunteers, or supervising students.

The position schedule is:
- Sundays OFF
- Mondays OFF
- Tuesdays 11:05 am - 8:05 pm
- Wednesdays 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
- Thursdays 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
- Fridays 9:05 am - 6:05 pm
- Saturdays 9:05 am - 6:05 pm
Compensation & Benefit s
The pay grade for this position spans from $30.45/hour to $45.73/hr. To be considered for a starting salary above the pay grade minimum, candidates must exceed the minimum experience requirements listed above.
This position pays a 5% pay premium for additional language skills. To be eligible for the additional pay employees must pass a test demonstrating verbal and written fluency in languages commonly used in our communities. Examples may include, but are not limited to, Spanish, Russian, Mandarin/Cantonese and American Sign Language.
We have an excellent benefit package. FVRLibraries covers 90-95% of full-time employees’ health insurance premium cost and 90-100% of dental insurance premium costs. In addition we provide employees with Life Insurance, AD&D and Long Term Disability Insurance at no cost to the employee. Employees have the ability to enroll in additional, voluntary life insurance, income protection plans, flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts.
Our employees enjoy 13 paid holidays throughout the year. Full time employees accrue 8 hours of sick leave per month. The initial vacation leave accrual is 11 hours per month; this increases over time based on years of employment. We also offer other types of paid time off for situations such as jury duty, bereavement leave, inclement weather and more.
