Sr Courier

La selection a ce poste demande une entrevue.

Conduire des vehicules de lentreprise et fournir une livraison et un ramassage efficaces des colis tout en fonctionnant a titre de suppleant sur au moins 15 routes. Travailler comme messager mais pas sur un itineraire regulier assigne.
Donner lexemple aux employes horaires en devenant un mentor et en faisant figure de modele de comportement notamment dans la communication, la resolution de conflit et le leadership (en appliquant les meilleures pratiques).
Favoriser la poursuite des ventes et generer des revenus supplementaires autant que possible

This is an interview position.

To operate company vehicles and provide efficient delivery and pickup of packages while performing in a floating capacity for a minimum of 15 routes. To work as a courier but not on an assigned regular route.

To model the way for hourly employees by becoming a mentor and demonstrating role model behaviour including strong communication, conflict resolution and leadership ability (through Best Practices methods)

Promotes continued sales and generates potential incremental revenue wherever possible

Le titulairede ce poste na pas de route attitree. Il couvre les routes dont le messager attitre est absent.

Lexigence detre un specialiste des matieres dangereuses depend de la taille et de lemplacement de la succursale. La haute direction (niveau D.G.) peut outrepasser ces exigences selon son bon jugement.

Exigences techniques

Solide connaissance des elements suivants :

Permis de conduire en regle et bon dossier de conduite.

Reussir toutes les formations de base et formations periodiques (y compris lobtention et le maintien de la certification en matieres dangereuses). Doit maintenir laccreditation par la formation recurrente annuelle avant lexpiration.

Obtenir et garder la certification de specialiste en matieres dangereuses de FedEx.

Bien comprendre les services de FedEx, leurs modalites et le fonctionnement general de lentreprise.

Pouvoir soulever des charges de 70 lb et manuvrer, a laide dun appareil approprie, des colis pesant jusqua 150 lb.

Une certaine connaissance des activites de Federal Express et de la reglementation douaniere canadienne constitue un atout.

Au Quebec, le candidat ou la candidate doit etre bilingue (francais et anglais).

Relations humaines

Maitriser avec excellence les relations humaines, le service a la clientele et la communication.

Bonne maitrise de lanalyse, de la resolution de problemes, de letablissement de priorites et de lorganisation.

Incumbent(s) of this position do not have regularly assigned routes. They provide coverage for open routes in the absence of the normally assigned courier.

The requirement of DG specialist is dependent upon station size and location. Senior Management (MD level) has the right to override these requirements as it sees fit.

Technical Skill Requirements

Solid knowledge of the following:

Must possess a valid drivers licence and have a good driving record.

Ability to successfully complete all basic and recurrency training (including completing and maintaining DG certification). Must maintain accreditation through yearly recurrency training prior to expiration.

Ability to gain and maintain FedEx DG Specialist certification

Good understanding of FedEx products, features of service, general operations.

Ability to lift 70 lbs and to maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.

Some knowledge of Federal Express operations and Canadian Customs regulations an asset.

In the Province of Quebec, must be bilingual (French and English).

Interpersonal Skill Requirements
