Role: Parts and Inventory Associate Duration: 5-6 weeks, potential to extend and potential to convert to FTE Hours: Monday through Friday 8-5 Location: Greensboro NC Rate: 20-26/hr range Duties & Responsibilities: Operations Support:
  • Parts & material staging for Preventive Maintenance Agreements (PMA) and Service WO’s
    • In coordination with Service Coordinator & Service Manager, stage parts & materials & tools needed for PMA and other Service jobs.
  • Emergency parts delivery, arrange/accomplish local & regional parts pick up, as needed
  • Participate, as needed, in Branch-level Service Meetings, as needed
    • Provide training reinforcement to techs, on inventory control issues, as needed
  • Return Material Authorization Processing for local branch, weekly
  • Manage Rental Inventory Fleet, check-in/out Rental Inventory, weekly
  • Assemble Service Reports, daily
Warehouse & Inventory Control:
  • Facility shipping/receiving activities for parts & materials, including forklift operation
    • Daily forklift inspections – logged to cloud storage
  • Local inventory control
    • Order inventory for stock, monthly
    • Enforce facility inventory controls, per Operations Manager
    • Complete Cycle Counts accurately, daily
    • Maintain/manage service group inventory on trucks, bi-annual inventory.
  • Facility/Warehouse management and organization
    • Maintain an organized and clean Shop/Warehouse environment
Parts Sales:
  • Develop & enhance our parts’ sales presence & response in our new markets (GA ,FL, TN) as part of an overall improved customer service experience for our clients.
  • Coordinate with & support Equipment Sales, Aftermarket Sales & Service Group parts needs in proposal & project ordering & execution
  • Respond to aftermarket parts/material quotation requests via;
    • Direct requests, existing & new customers – direct proposal response
    • Maintain target Gross Margin Targets on parts sales
  • Place parts/material orders & handle communication through delivery and invoicing.
  • Setup and Bill Parts Sales in ERP System, Invoice daily
  • Save all Purchase Order, Invoice, Quote, etc. information to Cloud Service (SharePoint)
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to drive forklift and make appropriate safety decisions when operating forklift.
  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and/or step-up on a regular basis.
  • Ability to lift up to 50-75 lb
Key Outcomes:
  • Prompt Response to parts sales and support request
  • Cycle Counts conducted weekly
  • Maintain clean and organized shop area
  • Daily forklift inspections
  • Monthly Inspection of 1 service truck inventory
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equal education credit
  • 3+ years’ experience parts and inventory control in HVAC or similar industry
  • Military Experience a plus
  • Strong Computer Skills
  • Strong Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • A continuous improvement mentality
