LOGISTICS COORDINATOR Sarasota, FL PAY RATE: $17-$18/HR + Bonus/Commission Opportunities SCHEDULE: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM Flexible (30-Minute Lunch Break) WORK SETTING: In-Office WHAT YOU'LL DO Ad-VANCE Talent Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our client's growing freight brokerage team in Sarasota, Florida. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced third-party logistics (3PL) environment supporting nationwide freight operations across FTL, LTL, drayage, and specialized transportation services. You must have experience working in drayage, managing the movement of shipping containers between ports, rail yards, and warehouses, ensuring timely delivery and efficient scheduling. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting freight brokers with load management, carrier communication, shipment tracking, and operational support from pickup through delivery. This position is ideal for someone with logistics, freight, dispatching, or transportation experience who thrives in a high-energy environment and is eager to grow within the logistics industry. Responsibilities Include: Support freight brokers with building, posting, booking, and managing freight loads Coordinate daily shipment activity for FTL, LTL, drayage, and international freight Track shipments and verify pickups, deliveries, PODs, and BOLs Communicate professionally with carriers, shippers, warehouses, and customers via phone and email Handle inbound and outbound calls related to shipment updates and operational support Maintain accurate records and shipment data within TMS and CRM platforms Utilize Excel and logistics software for reporting, tracking, and analysis Assist with carrier sourcing, freight quoting, and rate negotiations Resolve shipment issues quickly to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery Support broker accounts and contribute to account growth opportunities eligible for commission bonuses MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience in freight brokerage, logistics coordination, shipping, or dispatching preferred Prior experience as a Broker Assistant or Logistics Coordinator strongly preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced logistics environment Highly organized with strong attention to detail Professional phone and email communication skills Eagerness to learn and grow within a startup-style 3PL operation Ability to work full-time onsite in Sarasota, Florida PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to sit and work at a computer workstation for extended periods Frequent use of phone, keyboard, and multiple computer systems throughout the day Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain focus in a fast-paced office environment Must be able to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via email TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and cloud-based software systems Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and CRM platforms Familiarity with DAT, Truckstop, Highway, and TAI software preferred Strong computer navigation and data entry skills Ability to quickly learn new logistics technologies and operational systems COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Hourly Pay: $17-$18 per hour Commission Opportunity: Earn 5% of net profit on freight booked by Logistics Coordinators Career Growth Path into Freight Broker or Account Executive positions Major holidays off (unpaid - until you reach a certain number of hours) Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding logistics company in a thriving industry
