Forklift Operator - $23/Hour - Start ASAP** The Forklift Operator works in a fast-paced warehouse environment, safely operating forklifts to move, load, and unload products, equipment, and materials. This role focuses on accident-free operation, accurate inventory movement using warehouse management systems, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. The position requires at least two years of forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work night shifts while meeting safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Operate forklifts professionally and safely to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, and move products, equipment, and materials within the warehouse. Maintain accident-free operation of the forklift and accurately complete required forklift inspections. Perform systematic maintenance and cleaning of the forklift to ensure it remains in good working condition. Use the warehouse management system (WMS) to continuously track the location of goods and ensure accurate and timely data entry. Load and unload transport vehicles with quality packages during seed delivery and return seasons to meet customer expectations. Perform additional manual tasks at the direction of the warehouse supervisor or team lead, including sampling, inventory tasks, and cleaning. Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of debris to support safe and efficient operations. Maintain and follow all safety standards, including initiating and following emergency procedures when necessary. Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members and support a collaborative team environment to achieve set goals. Work reliably on a night shift schedule, meeting expectations for shift work and regular attendance. Accurately count inventory when moving materials and verify quantities as needed. Read and interpret scales and other measurement devices to ensure correct handling and movement of materials. Operate forklifts safely in tighter, confined spaces while staying alert and aware of surroundings. Follow all site policies regarding seatbelt use, electronic device usage, parking, food and drink restrictions, and smoke-free workplace rules. Skills Minimum 2 years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or similar environment. Demonstrated ability to operate a forklift safely and professionally, with strong awareness of working around machinery. Ability to read, write, and speak English to follow procedures and communicate with team members. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while operating forklifts and performing warehouse tasks. Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks and repetitive lifting, with a minimum lifting requirement of 60 lbs. Experience working in warm and cold weather conditions as part of daily job duties. Ability to use technology such as PCs and scanners to complete job tasks and update warehouse systems. Ability to count accurately when moving inventory and to read scales for precise measurements. Strong focus on safety and quality, with a self-starting and reliable work approach. Ability to work effectively as part of a team to accomplish shared goals. Ability to stay alert and aware when driving a forklift, especially in confined spaces. Regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work night shifts, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Why Work Here?
