Serve as the senior technical authority for the logistics operions of the organizion and its geographically dispersed subordine units.
Oversee a broad logistics management program across multiple areas including property accounting, maintenance, storage, transportion, facilities management, and emergency operions support.
Responsible for the oversight and review of logistical functions.
Analyze the logistics and readiness management systems to identify areas for improvement.

Position may require some TDY travel - approximely 15%.
This position is designed as emergency-essential (E-E). During a crisis situion, the incumbent, or designed alterne, may be required to deploy or to perform temporary duty assignments overseas in support of military operions.
Emergency Essential civilians are required to sign a DoD Form 2365.
As a pre-condition of employment, Incumbent must meet requirements specified on SF78, Certifice of Medical Examinion, and receive immunizions approprie for overseas locion.
Physical examinions are also required annually to ensure employee meets physical requirements of an EE position.
Emergency Essential employees must be exempted from military mobilizion or recall obligions by being placed in the Standby Reserve or other approprie action. (See Dodd 1200.7, Dodd 1404.10, Dodd 1400.31, Dodd 1400.32; and AR 690-11.)

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through Nional Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizions (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes supporting logistics programs such as centralized property accounting, reporting systems, maintenance, transportion, supply, storage, and facility management across multiple geographically dispersed locions; assisting in identifying problem areas through da analysis and providing support to senior logistics staff in the development of corrective actions; and coordining logistics support for unit operions such as exercises, training, deployments, and mobilizions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your educion for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualificion requirement using experience alone--no substitution of educion for experience is permitted.
