Job Summary:
We are looking for an Associate Manager/Manager, Commercial Procurement Services to join our NA Business Services Procurement team in Piscataway, NJ who will play a key role in shaping and executing sourcing strategies for over $250MM of marketing and commercial initiatives across North America. You'll be at the forefront of change, influencing supplier relationships and marketing investments to maximize value for Colgate-Palmolive. This role manages sourcing and contracting activities in compliance with Global Procurement guidelines, while promoting the utilization of procurement methodology through brand, category management and strategic sourcing, as well as supporting internal and external stakeholders to deliver efficiencies and optimization marketing, shopper marketing, omni-marketing, experiential marketing, packaging design to print, coupons, premium incentives and agency operations.
The Commercial Services Procurement Associate Manager/Manager will ensure implementation for a procurement marketing strategy that will align with business goals, strengthen supplier relationship management programs, deliver on cost and savings goals, and support marketing initiatives. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, innovative thinking, staying updated on market trends and the ability to share knowledge across divisions to meet agility demands.
The position title for this role (Associate Manager or Manager) will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing, negotiation, and contracting processes for marketing, shopper marketing, omni-marketing, experiential marketing, packaging design to print, coupons, premium incentives and agency operations, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, driving collaboration, value creation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement innovative marketing sourcing strategies, identifying opportunities for growth, cost savings, and process optimization.
- Conduct ongoing market analysis, supplier segmentation, and spend analytics to inform strategic decisions and deliver on KPIs.
- Manage robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs to deliver excellence and innovation across categories.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies while leading RFI/RFP processes, risk management, and digital transformation projects in support of the Global Procurement strategy.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Sourcing, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- 6+ years' experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Marketing-related roles.
- Deep understanding of marketing and advertising operations within a CPG or agency environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven ability to analyze complex data, develop strategies, and negotiate contracts.
- Advanced skills in supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and strategic cost management.
- Proficiency with procurement software and exposure to leading digital/data analytics initiatives.
- Strong leadership, innovation mindset, and a passion for driving change and sharing best practices across teams.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, demonstrated via impactful project execution.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $109,600.00 - $155,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
