Our client, a leading manufacturing and warehouse organization, is seeking a dedicated Shipping Clerk to join their team. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be an essential part of the logistics support team, ensuring smooth and accurate outbound shipments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Shipping Clerk
Location: Greenville, NC
Pay Range: $13.00 - $15.00 based on Experience
Shift: 12-hour rotating shift (days or nights, including weekends and holidays)
What's the Job?
- Release and ship confirm sales orders accurately and on schedule.
- Review orders for discrepancies, backorders, or inventory issues, escalating as needed.
- Create parcel shipping labels using UPS, FedEx, and other ground carrier systems.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation to ensure GMP compliance and internal procedures are met.
- Communicate effectively with truck drivers, yard personnel, and cross-department teams to coordinate shipments and dock activities.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, or manufacturing preferred.
- Experience working with WMS, ERP systems, or shipping software preferred.
- Familiarity with parcel carriers such as UPS and FedEx preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a regulated environment with strict documentation and compliance requirements.
