Production Supervisor- 1st Shift

This is a hands-on supervisory position suitable for an individual that works hand-in-hand with the associates in the department to meet the high standards of Safety, Productivity, accuracy, and maintaining a positive work environment. Under the direction of the Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Manufacturing/Packaging Operations and must adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and efficiency of the operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Packaging and Fulfillment associates, including but not limited to work schedule, hiring, disciplinary actions, training, training records, performance management, and productivity standards.
  • Strategically assign associates work roles to optimize efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage restocking process.
  • Review and approve timesheets, track attendance records and productivity for the departments.
  • Ensure federal regulations are followed including safety procedures, SOPs, and cGMP guidelines.
  • Review production planning to implement appropriate tasks across the departments.
  • Receive purchase orders.
  • Responsible for all the different tasks associated with the manufacturing area.
  • Collaborate and assist in the warehouse operations.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy of all materials and products within the department.
  • Work closely with Inventory control to assure cycle program is being followed.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for training and development of associates.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist associates in solving problems.
  • Ensure work areas are clean and free from safety hazards.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement to increase safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned to this position at the manager’s discretion.

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of previous supervisory experience in a production and/or warehouse environment. (Required)
  • Have experience with FDA and GMP regulated industries
  • Organized, able to multi-task and prioritize
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Billingual-Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing in English and fluent in Spanish.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and embrace change
  • Be customer/ associate focused and result driven
  • Proactively make sound decisions with excellent discretion
  • Work additional shifts beyond the regular work week as required to support the needs of the company
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel and Outlook is required.

Role’s Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
  • Must be able to work in a physical challenging environment.
