ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist in unloading delivery vehicles and transferring products to the warehouse or designated storage areas.
- Handle and sort products according to established guidelines, ensuring proper handling and storage to prevent damage.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, to move products efficiently and safely.
- Verify product quantities and quality against delivery documents, reporting any discrepancies or damages.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including removing empty pallets, debris, and packaging materials.
- Assist in inventory counts and stock rotation activities to ensure accurate product availability.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries during loading/unloading activities.
- Collaborate with warehouse personnel and drivers to ensure efficient workflow and smooth operations.
- Assist in other warehouse tasks, such as picking, packing, and stocking, as needed.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, including boxes, totes, and pallets, on a regular basis.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, is a plus.
- Basic math skills to verify product quantities and perform inventory counts accurately.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and guidelines accurately.
- Physical stamina and endurance to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in various environmental conditions, including cold or hot temperatures and dusty environments.
- Punctuality and reliability in meeting work schedules.
