As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), GS-2005-4/5/6, you will provide services in support of inventory control, storage, and distribution, caloging or supply identificion systems, property utilizion, or other reled supply activities including those associed with automed or manual supply accounting systems.
Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list:
Knowledge of requisitions, supporting documents and reference merial to determine supply or special supply action required.
Knowledge of established supply regulions, policies and procedures, or other governing supply management guidelines to perform inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items.
Exercises judgement in selecting, interpreting, modifying, and adapting guides which seldom apply directly to the situion.
Assignments include aspects of technical supply management work reled to agency, intermedie echelon, depot, local, or other supply activities.
Performs limited aspect of technical supply management work which involves individual case problems or supply actions which require considerion of program requirements.
Complete assignments involve a variety of transactions required for merial movement, which require the applicion of seasoned experience and judgment.
Contacts are with a variety of opering officials, representives of commercial firms or with representives of other government agencies.

This is an excepted service position th requires membership in the Illinois Nional Guard and in the military grade listed in the announcement. This is required prior to the effective de of placement. The FIRST area of considerion for this position all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG.
The SECOND area of considerion all current Federal Employees.
The THIRD area of considerion all Federal re-employment eligible.
The FOURTH area of considerion applicants willing to become T32 Dual Stus Technicians and gain ILNG membership.
The FIFTH area of considerion all U.S. Citizens.
Military Grades : Enlisted/Warrant Officer - NTE CW4
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing de of this announcement. For a GS-6 position you must have served 52 weeks the GS-5 Level. An SF-50 th shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your applicion merials.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : GS-6 Leve l MUST possess least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to least the next lower grade of GS-5; knowledge of governing supply regulions, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; experience conducting searches for required informion; reconstruct records for supply transactions; and/or provide supply operions support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; experience performing various aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems reled to segments in one or more major areas of supply management; experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey informion and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc. GS-5 Level MUST possess least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to least the next lower grade of GS-4; knowledge of standardized supply regulions, policies, procedures, or other instructions reling to the specific functions assigned; experience th demonstres knowledge of one or more automed supply dabases to enter and retrieve recurring reports; experience using working knowledge of the structure of a supply organizion and the organizions serviced. GS-4 Level MUST possess experience, educion, or training in a variety of operions or situions concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered; knowledge of basic or commonly applied rules, procedures, or operions such as, filling out, posting, filing, controlling, or coding documents and/or transactions; experience using computer and automion systems.
