Warehouse Forklift Operator

Location : Remington, VA 22734 Position Purpose Responsible for the efficient operation of one or multiple yards, including operating light/heavy-duty equipment, loading and unloading products, executing standard receiving and shipping processes, providing spotting duties for equipment operators, performing rigging and cribbing of materials, maintaining yard inventory, and conducting quality control activities. Also responsible for warehouse duties such as inventory management, order picking/shipping, and receiving products. Job Responsibilities: Provide spotting duties for equipment operators and perform rigging and cribbing of materials. Maintain a safe work environment by following all written safety guidelines and monitoring designated safety zones. Inspect all equipment daily before use. Receive, count, and record shipment data into the system. Match packing list information with actual merchandise received. Prepare products and materials for storage. Record receiving data using computer systems. Pack, unpack, and label stock items using identification tags, stamps, electronic marking tools, or other labeling equipment. Deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated areas as needed. Operate heavy equipment including, but not limited to, wheel loaders, large/small forklifts, and other lifting equipment such as straddle carriers. May also operate motor vehicles including light-duty trucks and commercial spotter vehicles. Unload products from vendor trucks and trailers and load products onto customer trailers. Complete all work assignments according to established procedures. Maintain accurate documentation and paperwork for record-keeping purposes. Ensure excellent housekeeping practices to promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Identify incorrect or short-shipped items and immediately notify supervisors of discrepancies. Verify stock against physical inventory counts and inspect items for damage or wear. Interact with customers as needed while maintaining a high level of customer service.
