Warehouse Supervisor

Sharon Food Distributors, Inc. d/b/a Prime Chix, Sharon Foods located in Tewksbury, MA is looking for a full time Warehouse Supervisor.

Job Duties: Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse personnel engaged in the receiving, storage, handling, inventory management, and distribution of perishable and nonperishable food products in a refrigerated warehouse environment, specifically:

- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including order pickers, forklift operators, drivers, and shipping/receiving personnel to ensure efficient workflow.

- Assign, schedule, and monitor daily tasks involving receiving, putaway, picking, packing, staging, and shipping to ensure timely and accurate movement of goods.

- Oversee and inspect loading and unloading of trucks, verifying product accuracy, correct labeling, and adherence to company handling procedures.

- Verify compliance with inventory control procedures, including proper product rotation (FIFO), reporting of damaged/missing items, and accurate documentation of product movement.

- Monitor storage conditions in refrigerated, frozen, and dry storage areas to ensure products are maintained at required temperatures and in compliance with food safety standards.

- Train warehouse employees in equipment operation (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks), product handling, warehouse procedures, and workplace safety standards.

- Implement and enforce safety regulations and company policies, ensuring OSHA compliance and safe operation of materialhandling equipment.

- Identify and resolve routine operational issues, such as shipment discrepancies, workflow disruptions, equipment malfunctions, and inventory irregularities.

- Maintain operational records, including logs of inventory movement, staffing reports, equipment usage, and daily warehouse activity reports.

- Report operational updates to management and assist in evaluating employee performance, productivity, and adherence to company procedures.

Job Requirements

- Associate Degree or a Foreign Equivalent Degree in any field.

- 24 months of full-time experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
