Shipping Lead Job Description The Shipping Lead will oversee the outbound shipping department, ensuring the smooth handling of inventory and finished goods. This role involves coordinating orders, generating necessary shipping documents including Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, and Certificates of Compliance, and collaborating with various departments to ensure proper handling of incoming materials. Responsibilities Stage inventory and finished goods for shipping. Coordinate and pull orders for shipment. Generate shipping documents such as Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, and Certificates of Compliance for all outbound shipments. Collaborate with Inventory Control Specialist, Production Scheduling, and Customer Service. Prepare finished goods for packaging and crating for shipment. Assist the Shipping Manager with documenting daily shipping plans for OPI & Contract trucking. Audit outbound shipment tallies to ensure accuracy with shipping documents. Essential Skills 3-5 years of experience in the shipping area. Proficiency in inventory management and ERP systems. Experience with Bills of Lading and compliance documentation. Strong computer skills and familiarity with SAP. Ability to operate forklifts and RF scanners. Additional Skills & Qualifications Willingness to assist in other areas as needed. Capability to handle inventory control and cycle counts. Experience in logistics and material handling. Why Work Here?
