Job Summary

SEI is seeking a highly experienced Production Manager to oversee the daily production activities at our West Seneca, New York, USA operations. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business acumen, be responsible for the management of supervisors, technicians, equipment, materials, external & internal audits. This is the paramount responsibility of the Production Manager to achieve the company's stated objectives ensuring that

the facility, employees, and product are following all regulatory requirements for quality and safety. This is a highly visible, high-impact position where a successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a decisive

role in the future success and growth of the company in the USA.

Responsibilities .

Oversee daily productions managing a team of 25-35 production employees, ensuring products meet customer requirements for quality, delivery, and cost.

Plan, direct, and coordinate hourly labor requirements on the shop floor to support the incoming tear downs, inspections, and production repair jobs.

Summarize and provide repair quotes for Customer Service.

Ensure proper procedures and standards are in place and to conform to customer requirements, such as inspections, data collection, and delivery of materials, are being met.

Lead problem-solving and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives to improve safety, quality, and production metrics.

Oversee materials and inventory necessary to meet production delivery requirements

Lead team through successful development and execution of monthly plans to meet schedule, revenue and cost requirements. Maintains and communicate daily, weekly, monthly KPIs / productions metrics.

Participate in the day-to-day management in planning the labor & materials to support the production schedule taking into consideration planned and unplanned jobs and vacation schedules

Identifies, develops and implements processes and efficiency improvements within production including troubleshooting problems.

Lead the effort to improve Objective Key Results and Business KPI's with precision and accuracy: (First Pass Yield Rate, Final QA inspection, Time to Estimate, Invoicing etc.)

Responsible for staffing of hourly workforce, and management of personnel in such areas as time logging, and job performance.

Creates and maintains an environment that is conducive to retaining employees through effective planning, performance reviews, communication and training for all production employees.

Review reports including daily, weekly, and monthly priority list to meet customer delivery requirements and monthly financial goals.

Ensure accountability at all levels of the lead hands with consistent record-keeping and training.

Provide leadership, guidance, and performance management ensuring safety, engineering, quality, customer service, teamwork and entrepreneurial spirit.

Creating a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, collaborating with the lead hands, and encouraging a culture of safety.

Payroll reporting and employee benefits coordination including medical, disability and 401K.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, and Business, Electrical Manufacturing and Repair

Minimum 8-10 years of proven leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing plant managing or directly supervising a manufacturing & remanufacturing operation.

Ability to travel to Canada for the first three to six months during the training period, and as required as per the need of the business

Knowledge of business productivity software (Visual Manufacturing preferred) and an aptitude for learning new applications

Ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing environment.

This position requires strong leadership capabilities, critical attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and strong technical knowledge

Proven success in leading and motivating mid-size, diverse teams in manufacturing, consistently achieving or exceeding performance targets.

Passionate about people leadership, with a demonstrated ability to enhance employee development, engagement, and well-being, driving measurable improvements in productivity and satisfaction.

Strong problem-solving skills, focused on implementing employee-centered solutions that also improve operational efficiency and key performance metrics.

Experience managing highly complex projects and/or multiple projects with aggressive deadlines

Ensure production schedules are met and manufacturing is completed

Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes.

Implement business plans which usually involve change (sales & technological improvements) in a dynamic industry environment

Actively participate in customer and regulatory audits

Extensive professional knowledge and experience in areas of material management, and production

Ability to understand, perform and retain various job-related training.
