Job Description

Landscape Purchasing Manager

Near Garner, NC

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize inventory control and ensure timely availability of materials and supplies

- Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best price, quality, and terms for purchased items

- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers

-Provide plant material photos as needed for certain jobs

- Collaborate with internal team such as production planning and sales teams to understand demand forecasts and ensure adequate supply

- Manage contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions-print labels and tag materials prior to being brought in to our holding yard.

- Oversee logistics and transportation activities to ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods-Ensure growers deliver high-quality material- -Reconcile and approve purchase orders and invoices for plants

Qualifications:

-Good driving record and ability to drive a landscape truck and trailer for plant pickups and deliveries.

- Extensive knowledge of plant materials including shrubs, trees and perennials

- Proven experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices

- Familiarity with inventory control methods and techniques

- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong supplier relationships

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time 35-45 hrs a week. 7am till 330 to 4pm

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
