DESCRIPTION: The Export Coordinator is responsible for managing and executing all international shipment activities, ensuring compliance with global trade regulations while meeting customer delivery expectations. This role requires a strong understanding of Incoterms, freight forwarding processes, and commercial invoice documentation to support efficient and compliant export operations. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and process all export shipments from order entry through final delivery Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, export laws, and customs requirements Prepare, review, and process export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and shipping instructions Apply appropriate Incoterms to shipments and ensure correct cost/risk allocation between buyer and seller Work closely with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to schedule shipments and resolve transportation issues Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery Verify accuracy of shipping documentation to prevent delays, penalties, or compliance issues Track and trace shipments, proactively communicating status updates to internal stakeholders and customers Collaborate with internal departments including sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to ensure order accuracy and readiness Support audits and maintain records in accordance with export compliance requirements Identify opportunities to improve export processes, reduce costs, and enhance service levels Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience in export coordination, international logistics, or global trade Strong knowledge of Incoterms (2020), export compliance, and international shipping documentation Experience working with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers Familiarity with commercial invoice processing and documentation requirements Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and transportation management systems Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with export control regulations (EAR, ITAR) Knowledge of tariff classification (HTS codes) and country-specific import/export requirements Certification in international trade or logistics (e.g., CILT, APICS) Key Competencies Attention to detail and accuracy Regulatory compliance awareness Cross-functional collaboration Time management and prioritization Customer service mindset Thank you for your interest as you consider starting a new career journey with us.
