Position Overview

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all production operations across multiple lines and areas, driving production planning, cross-functional coordination, and continuous improvement. This role serves as the central operational hub bridging production, quality, maintenance, logistics, and HR while owning the planning function to align output with customer demand.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

Develop and manage production schedules using ERP/MRP systems based on customer orders and inventory targets.

Own the planning function: forecast material and labor requirements, coordinate with procurement and logistics for timely supply.

Adjust production plans dynamically in response to order changes, capacity constraints, or supply disruptions.

Operations Management

Oversee production performance across all lines, ensuring efficiency, quality standards, and on-time delivery are consistently met.

Manage and develop the Production Supervisor team, providing clear direction, feedback, and performance support.

Monitor KPIs (output, OEE, scrap rate, downtime) and generate operational reports to support data-driven decisions.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Serve as the primary interface between Production, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and HR to resolve operational issues and align priorities.

Collaborate with Quality team to ensure production processes meet internal and customer standards; lead root cause analysis when issues arise.

Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive and corrective maintenance scheduling to minimize production downtime.

Partner with HR on workforce planning, temporary labor coordination, and adnce to staffing agency protocols.

Continuous Improvement

Lead lean manufacturing initiatives including waste reduction, 5S, and value stream mapping.

Drive process standardization across production lines to improve consistency and reduce variation.

Support ERP system implementation and process alignment across functions.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in production or operations management in a manufacturing environment.

Experience with ERP or MRP systems; SAP familiarity is a plus but not required.

Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process standardization.

Strong cross-functional coordination skills; ability to work effectively with Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and HR.

Strong leadership andmunication skills; experience managing supervisors and teams.

Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese Required.

Spanish language skills are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual Salary: $66,000 - $89,000

Pay Details: $66,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
