The Distribution Account Manager is responsible for the strategic development of account relationships with ivari to optimize opportunities within accounts in achieving our revenue and expense objectives. Operating Nationally, this individual will be recognized as the primary face and liaison of ivari for the accounts they are assigned to both as it relates to Sales, facilitation with internal departments, internal/external communications as well as other B2B strategic initiatives.
You will:
Develop and execute the Greatway distributor plan, identifying more profitable opportunities and developing action plans with sales and other area management
Annually plan, recommend, implement and champion account sales plans/tactics for and with distributors
Develop and implement an account management process that outlines ivari sales and other support required. This includes event participation, budget allocation and contact rotation of all ivari personnel
Oversee Marketing Allowance allocation & ongoing management
Manage distributor relationship mapping between distributors and the company to improve beyond the sales level
Assist with overall Greatway Strategy implementation to stabilize and grow results
Collaborate inter-departmentally with ivari Web, Operations, Underwriting, Marketing, and Advisor Experience teams on various projects, communications, and value-add solutions
Ensure distributors fully aware of ivari key contact and appropriate department information
Proactively review sales practices including paid to written ratio, Lapsation, Persistency, HI-Lo, advisor debts, compliance related investigations and overall market conduct
Represent sales, distribution partners and advisors at various internal department projects and committees
Represent the Sales Business Unit for the Business Unit Compliance Liason (BUCL) committee and ensure business unit aligns with compliance and regulatory mandates and best practices
Work closely with compliance to identify any potential risks with the accounts as well as document processes and communicate with the assigned accounts for future compliance
What we are looking for
A university graduate or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 7 years individual life insurance, and related product distribution experience
Integral knowledge of the Canadian life insurance middle market advisor
Proven ability to seek and identify new business opportunities with a focus on the middle market
Proven ability to build on existing business
Proven ability to develop and build on relationships with advisors/distributors
Career accomplishments should include consistent attainment of revenue and growth goals, and consistent recognition as a top performer relative to peers
Ability to forecast trends, which will drive distribution changes
Business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Sound compliance management
Life licensed (preferred)
Mutual fund licensed (an asset)
CSC (an asset)
What we pay
$98,000-$132,000+ a competitive sales bonus target paid out on a quarterly basis.
