We are seeking an experienced Pastry Baker to join our team. We produce biscuits, sausage rolls, and other pastries daily - for example, cookies, muffins, scones, and quickbreads, all from in-house scratch recipes. If you have a love for baking and recipe development and good leadership skills than this position may be just right for you! We are seeking a person for a full time position with a steady 4-day work schedule. Weekend availability is required and good attendance is a must. Responsibilities includes include production scheduling, training, setting the tone of the department, scaling, mixing, pastry prep, baking, packing, cleaning, a little bit of computer work (printing worksheets), and daily communication with staff and management. You will be among a team of professionals. We care about our work and the food we provide to the people of Portland, Salem, Vancouver, and beyond. The pastry room is currently a small team of 5 people including the lead, with room to grow. We seek to engender a positive work environment where everyone is valued and everyone's voice is heard.
