Job Description

This role offers a range of $77,000 to $94,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, and skills, as well as geographic considerations.

We are seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Manager to lead operations at our plant location. This role is responsible for driving accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all shipping and receiving activities while developing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and hold accountability within the Shipping & Receiving team to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant daily operations

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery performance, and cost reduction, aligned with plant and company objectives

Own warehouse inventory accuracy, including management and optimization of the cycle count program and corrective action follow-up

Establish clear expectations and performance standards, regularly reviewing KPIs and taking decisive action to address gaps

Partner crossfunctionally with internal plant support teams to ensure proactive, timely, and effective communication

Ensure accurate and disciplined execution of shipping and receiving transactions through SAP and supporting logistics systems

Analyze and track unfilled or delayed orders, identifying root causes and implementing improvements to prevent recurrence

Actively participate in and lead TPM initiatives, with a strong understanding of site KPIs and contribution to overall equipment and material flow effectiveness

Evaluate current value streams and develop data-driven improvement objectives to move toward an ideal future state

Provide clear written and verbal direction, ensuring alignment, consistency, and accountability at all levels of the operation

Success in this role requires a hands-on leader who drives results through structure, standard work, and continuous improvement while fostering ownership and accountability within the team.

Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

Have a minimum of an Associate Degree and 10 years of experience in an S&R environment; Bachelor's degree preferred

At least 5 years of experience leading, developing, and motivating teams, with a demonstrated ability to drive accountability and performance

Hands-on SAP experience, with the ability to ensure accurate and disciplined execution of shipping and receiving transactions

Comprehensive knowledge of domestic and international shipping operations, including documentation and compliance requirements for air, sea, and ground transportation

Valid forklift certification, with the ability to operate materialhandling equipment safely and efficiently

Proven supervisory and leadership capability, supported by strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds, as required to support operational needs

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have the:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures, prepare reports and documentation, and effectively present information to groups, including leadership teams

Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles and tools to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and standardize processes
