Title: Material Coordinator II
Pay:$20.00 - $24.00/hour
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Location: Hayward, CA
Duration: 3.5-month contract
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory/Materials Specialist to support warehouse and logistics operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Transfer finished goods inventory from manufacturing and receiving areas to warehouse locations for order fulfillment
Monitor and segregate finished goods inventory placed on hold on a daily basis
Facilitate transfer requests to and from offsite storage by generating ERP reports
Perform cycle counts, reconcile inventory variances, and submit for completion
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies prompted by customer service inquiries and system reports
Conduct random location audits to ensure inventory accuracy and proper maintenance
Track and manage inventory in temporary transit locations to ensure accurate transfers
Generate reports and support special projects as assigned; provide performance reporting as needed
Maintain a working understanding of company products, parts, and related technologies
Build and maintain effective working relationships across departments
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Production Planning, Customer Service, Finance, and external vendors to resolve inventory issues
Support picking, packing, and shipping activities using scanners and manual methods
Process orders using ERP systems and shipping software (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager)
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in materials, inventory, or logistics (preferred)
Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., life sciences, temperature-sensitive products preferred)
Familiarity with GMP and ISO standards
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail with excellent math skills
Ability to prepare and deliver presentations
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to a height of 36 inches
