Assistant Beverage Production Manager

SoCo Ginger Beer is looking for an organized, efficient, and team-oriented assistant manager for our production facility! This role would assist with overseeing production operations, maintaining recipes, managing produce inventory and costs, training and supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety and quality standards are met, and collaborating with sales, farmers markets, and other departments. ResponsibilitiesAssisting with overseeing production and packaging of ginger beer and fresh pressed juices: preparation and juicing of fruits and vegetables, operating the juicing equipment, co2 and brite tanks, bottling machine, and labelerAssisting production manager with produce ordering, inventory controls and costsCoordinating on leading production team, making schedules and developing a collaborative work culture, leading staff meetings, maintaining labor costsMaintaining juicing equipment, hydraulic juice press and other warehouse equipment daily, ensuring that they are in working order and cleaned daily by production teamEnsuring compliance with all cleanliness and food safety requirementsQualificationsFood Managers CertificationFood handling and preparation, kitchen or brewery manager experience requiredAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift and carry up to 60 poundsExperience and know-how in using kitchen equipment and tools, or brewing machineryComfortable working in a small, noisy, and fast-paced small business environmentSchedule:Monday-Friday day shiftsBenefitsSalaried day-time role, potential health coverage, PTO, positive work life balance(A note or cover letter about yourself and why you think you are a good fit for this position goes a long way toward standing out.)
