IMPORT/EXPORT ANALYST ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for an experienced Import/Export Analyst to join our logistics team. You'll play a key role in managing our import operations across 35+ sourcing countries keeping shipments compliant, on time, and cost-efficient. The ideal candidate has worked at or alongside a licensed U.S. Customs Broker, knows HTS classification and tariff management inside out, and is excited about using AI and modern tools to work smarter. WHAT YOU'LL DO Manage day-to-day import coordination across 35+ countries from booking to final delivery. Classify entries using correct HTS codes and stay current on tariff changes, Section 301 duties, and AD/CVD cases. Work closely with customs brokers: review ISFs, entry summaries, CF-7501s, and all supporting documentation before submission. Handle CBP queries (CF-28/29), customs exams, and holds coordinating fast, accurate responses. Ensure compliance with CBP, FDA, USDA, CPSC, and other regulatory agencies as applicable. Track shipments via TMS and carrier portals; manage exceptions and escalate issues proactively. Analyze freight costs, duties, demurrage, and detention and identify savings opportunities. Use AI tools and data analytics to automate tasks, improve reporting, and bring new ideas to the team. Maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, steamship lines, and customs brokers. Prepare KPI reports on shipment performance, duty spend, and compliance metrics for leadership. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Background 3-5 years in import/export or international logistics customs broker experience is a strong plus. Hands-on experience managing high-volume imports from multiple countries. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Logistics, or related field. Customs & Compliance HTS classification, tariff schedules, duty analysis, and first sale valuation. U.S. entry process: ISF 10+2, formal/informal entries, CF-7501, and entry summaries. PGA filings: FDA (FSVP, Prior Notice), USDA, CPSC, and EPA as applicable. Incoterms 2020, Bills of Lading (HBL/MBL), and trade documentation. Technology & AI Comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, etc.) to boost productivity and automate workflows. Experience with TMS, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), and customs platforms. Advanced Excel skills; Power BI or Tableau is a plus. Skills & Mindset Detail-oriented catches errors in classification or documentation before they become problems. Innovative always looking for better, smarter ways to run the operation. Strong communicator in English; bilingual in Spanish is a strong plus. Able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving, high-volume environment. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 based on experience. Annual performance bonus tied to individual and team goals.
