Responsibilities:

Lead all sourcing and procurement activities supporting plant operations

Develop, manage, and strengthen relationships with domestic and global suppliers

Ensure supply continuity by proactively addressing delivery, quality, and capacity risks

Identify and implement cost reduction, value optimization, and process improvement opportunities

Drive alignment between purchasing activities and production and customer requirements

Oversee supplier performance management, including corrective actions when required

Lead RFQ/RFP processes, including development of sourcing strategies, bid packages, and commercial evaluations

Negotiate pricing, contracts, and long-term supply agreements in alignment with business objectives

Manage approved supplier selection, qualification, audits, and ongoing performance reviews

Monitor market trends and supply base conditions to anticipate risk and recommend mitigation actions

Reconcile purchasing discrepancies including invoice, PO, and contractual variances

Support capital and production purchasing activities in collaboration with Finance and Operations

Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and quality management system requirements

Lead or support document control activities and audit readiness related to purchasing systems

Drive supplier innovation and encourage adoption of improved materials, processes, and technologies

Support special projects and additional initiatives as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred)

C.P.M. and/or CPSM certification considered an asset

5-8 years of progressive purchasing experience within automotive or industrial manufacturing environments

Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity

Strong background in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost analysis

3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing environments

Proficiency in ERP systems

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Solid knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.

Professional and friendly demeanor with strong customer service skills.

Experience handling confidential information with discretion.

Familiarity with scheduling tools, document management systems, and office equipment.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to support office operations.
