Indirect Buyer I Job Description We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Indirect Buyer I to support procurement activities related to indirect products and services. This role is ideal for an earlycareer procurement professional who is developing foundational sourcing, supplier management, and purchasing skills. The Indirect Buyer I will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and senior procurement team members to ensure timely, compliant, and costeffective purchases. Responsibilities * Support the procurement of indirect goods and services across categories such as office supplies, travel, fleet, and professional services under the guidance of senior buyers or commodity managers. * Assist with supplier setup, basic negotiations, and ongoing supplier communications. * Analyze and maintain company purchasing cards (YCards), ensuring policy compliance and accurate documentation. * Support internal stakeholders with iBuy purchases by placing purchase orders, communicating order status and expected delivery dates, and coordinating invoice processing with Accounts Payable. * Track open orders and follow up with suppliers to support ontime delivery. * Assist in resolving basic procurement, invoicing, or delivery issues by escalating as appropriate. * Maintain accurate procurement records and system data to support reporting and audits. * Follow established procurement processes and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to manage routine tasks and meet deadlines with limited supervision * Effective written and verbal communication skills * Willingness to learn procurement processes and sourcing best practices * Ability to collaborate across functions and work as part of a team Role Progression Opportunity This role provides a strong foundation in indirect procurement and offers growth opportunities into a Buyer II position, with increased responsibility for supplier strategy, contract negotiation, and costsavings initiatives.
