Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking a Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Piscataway, New Jersey. This essential position will focus on ensuring exceptional inventory accuracy and operational efficiency within our distribution centers in Canada and New Jersey. You will provide critical oversight, direction, and accountability for all inventory processes, collaborating closely with 3PL partners and leveraging your analytical prowess to drive accuracy and efficiency.
Job responsibilities
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Monitor key inventory control functions for the distribution centers, focusing on Canada & New Jersey sites
Provide oversight, direction & accountability on all inventory control processes, flows, and operational exceptions
Collaborate with 3PL Inventory Control team to develop procedural recommendations to improve overall accuracy and efficient handling of all managed inventory
Review inventory adjustments on monthly basis for accuracy and proper financial booking
Oversee and audit physical inventories/cycle counts performed by 3PL
Assist in conducting root cause analyses and collaborate with 3PL partners to develop corrective action plans to minimize future shrink
Oversee internal and external inventory audits
Analyze and correct stock discrepancies between multiple systems due to integration issues
Project Management & Flow Support for Care Services and End of Life
Support with implementation of any new inventory flows and projects
Review inventory movement for continuous improvement and stock accuracy during movements
Lead UATs for system enhancements and upgrades
Process Optimization
Review operational workflows and drive process improvements for efficiency and stock accuracy
Profile
Extensive Experience: 3-5 years in Distribution Center Operations or Inventory Control, ideally with prior 3PL management exposure.
Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (macros, VLOOKUP, pivot tables) is critical, alongside strong PowerPoint skills and a bonus for Power BI experience. A deep understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and their operational flows is also required.
Analytical Mindset: A highly analytical, statistical, and problem-solving approach, coupled with an unwavering attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
Operational Agility: The ability to learn quickly, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and skillfully manage multiple tasks, all while being proactive, solution-driven, and highly organized.
Collaborative Spirit: Exceptional interpersonal skills to build relationships and communicate effectively across all levels, combined with the capability to work both autonomously and as part of a cohesive team.
Audit & Process Integrity: Experience in supporting internal/external audits and a commitment to maintaining precise documentation of inventory processes.
The appointed candidate will be offered a base salary within the range of USD $75,000- $85,000 a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.
Please note that restrictions may apply to part-time employees
The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Piscataway Distribution Center.
