Safety-Kleen in Oshawa, ON is seeking a Material Handler to join their safety conscious team! The primary job responsibilities will be handling and assisting in organizing hazardous materials, inventory as well as shipping and receiving responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
  • Locates, and transfers part shortages within the plant that may be required for completion of assemblies
  • Load and unload route trucks with supplies and equipment for the next days runs.
  • Verifies and maintains associated stock records, shortage reports and other documentation. Assisting with inventory counts.
  • Utilizes small hand tools and may operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet handlers etc.
  • Admin duties such as labelling, printing, and organizing route sheets are required.
  • Other warehouse duties and procedures as required.
  • Shipping and Receiving responsibilities.
  • Ability to assist with the packaging, segregation, and handling of hazardous waste.
  • Lift boxes, move drums with a drum dolly, and move pallets, and material.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years' experience in a warehouse environment.

  • Forklift operating experience is a strong asset.

  • Knowledge of hazardous material handling, disposal and regulatory requirements is a strong asset.
  • Ability to take on responsibilities, be a self-starter, and work on their own.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with computer software such as Microsoft Office.
  • G License required with reliable transportation.
