Shipping Clerk

Shipping Clerk/Material Handler Dayshift This position provides support for the shipping function within the company. Assist shipping supervisor with matching purchase orders to sales orders. Prepares bills of lading; checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct. Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program. Handles freight damage claims to resolution. Assisting in counting of physical inventory. Handles freight damage claims to resolution. May maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records. Assigned correct carrier to customer orders and ensure is correctly packaged. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Good communication skills. Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers. Ability to read and write in English. Problem solving and critical thinking skills. Good MS Office skills. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: H.S. Diploma or equivalent preferred Shipping Clerk experience doing Bill of lading, material handling
