Procurement Specialist

Location : Louisville, KY 40202. The Procurement Packaging Specialist (Temporary) will support the Packaging Procurement team in the execution of sourcing activities, supplier coordination, and project follow-up related to ongoing and new packaging developments across the spirits portfolio. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Job Responsibilities: Operational Procurement Support: Assist in the sourcing and development of packaging materials (glass, closures, labels, shippers, etc.) by collecting quotes, managing supplier communications, and ensuring accurate data in procurement systems. Project Tracking & Documentation: Support the execution and follow-up of packaging projects, ensuring timely updates of project trackers, supplier timelines, and risk logs. Supplier Management: Maintain regular contact with suppliers to gather delivery updates, resolve issues, and ensure documentation compliance (specs, drawings, and contracts). Administrative & Contractual Support: Prepare purchase orders, assist in drafting simple contract amendments, and coordinate documentation for approvals and system updates. Innovation Support: Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and R D to ensure packaging specifications are aligned and ready for new product launches. Data & Savings Tracking: Assist in collecting and consolidating data to support cost analyses, savings reports, and supplier performance evaluations.
