Dispatcher

Pay: $35k-$45k Job Summary
The Dispatcher serves as the primary point of contact for drivers, coordinating routes, monitoring compliance, and ensuring efficient operations. This role includes supervising drivers, approving expenses, and maintaining communication with planners, agents, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate driver routes with planners
• Communicate with drivers, agents, and customers regarding schedules and shipments
• Monitor driver compliance with regulations (DOT/DOD)
• Approve travel and repair expenses
• Track driver locations and update shipment details in company systems
• Assist with recruiting, managing, and supervising drivers
• Handle after-hours calls and issues on a rotating on-call basis

Requirements:

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of dispatching or logistics operations
• Familiarity with transportation regulations preferred
• Experience in dispatching preferred; degree in logistics or related field a plus
