Description
Summary:
The Assistant Central Warehouse Manager will support the daily operations of multiple highvolume hotel food and beverage warehouses. This role ensures accurate receiving, inventory control, product quality, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards across all warehouse locations. The position works closely with the Central Warehouse Manager, Executive Chef, culinary team, and various hotel departments to maintain smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
Assist with daily receiving of all food and beverage deliveries, ensuring products meet quality, quantity, and specification standards.
Verify vendor invoices against automated procurement system receiving sheets and report discrepancies.
Coordinate with Chefs when clarification on product specs or quality is needed.
Support proper rotation, labeling, and storage procedures to maintain freshness and safety.
Help prepare automated procurement system receiving sheets and purchase orders for upcoming deliveries.
Conduct daily physical and automated procurement system inventory counts for all food and beverage categories, including produce, dry goods, meats, paper products, snacks, and liquor.
Maintain par levels and assist in monitoring inventory variances.
Support the ordering, stocking, and cleanliness of the deli cooler and snack inventory.
Assist in supervising warehouse personnel to ensure compliance with receiving methods, safety protocols, and sanitation standards.
Help maintain the loading dock and warehouse areas to meet cleanliness and safety requirements.
Support the fulfillment of banquet requisitions for coffee breaks and beverage service, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Assist with pulling daily automated procurement system requisitions for all hotel departments.
Assist in monitoring labor costs and adhering to budget guidelines, including enforcing the noovertime policy.
Support the Central Warehouse Manager in maintaining documentation, reports, and compliance records.
Uphold the company's drug-free, tobacco-free, and nicotine-free policies within the workplace.
All other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years of warehouse or food & beverage receiving experience; hotel or hospitality experience preferred.
Minimum 1 year of previous leadership experience required.
Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
Must be able to lift 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. infrequently.
Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Must have a Florida State driver's license in current good standing.
