Overview:Balances supply and demand while achieving the optimal levels of inventory, service level targets, and at the lowest cost.The Senior Director of Supply Chain is responsible for delivering a reliable flow of supply at a consistently high service level and competitive cost to the Uniform business. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies that extract the maximum value from all global manufacturing value streams while appropriately mitigating the risks inherent in a global supply chain.The scope of this role directly impacts all AUS top line, bottom line, margins, and cash flow. This individual establishes key operational performance metrics and benchmarks which encompass national and international operations and functional areas. Leads and executes the supply chain strategy for the AUS division and continually seeks new processes and methods to improve the flow and quality of work within the organization. Provides leadership oversight for roughly 11 planning employees and supports $2.1 billion in revenues.The Senior Director of Supply Chain reports to the Vice President of Global Sourcing and Manufacturing.Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Implement and lead the Sales and Operations (S&OP) process.Responsible for all demand planning and production planning functions.Develop an inventory plan to support budgeted revenue and targeted service levels metrics.

Report, analyze, and forecast inventory and service levels according to budget. Key function will be to analyze variances to budget.Review supply chain processes and identify opportunities to increase efficiency by automating, minimizing, and offloading low value activitiesWork closely with Sourcing, Product Development, and the IT organization to develop comprehensive training programs for all major systems, processes, and toolsDesign reporting and provide insight to enable key stakeholders with information required to manage the businessLead and execute the annual national and international planning processesDetermine the requirements and provide support for the introduction of new product linesDemonstrate a high level of responsiveness to Executives and key constituents in the business including the ability to operate in a fast paced, demanding environment with an intense sense of urgencyResponsible for supporting all uniform installations, nationwideDrive initiatives to enhance unit fill rates while operating in accordance with approved financial plansLeverage global opportunities to enhance margins while assuring a continued commitment to global corporate social responsibility

Maintain a working knowledge of business trends including industry issues, cost drivers, global pricing, market conditions, and economic indicatorsPartner with the head of Product Development and Sourcing in conducting regular operating reviews with all strategic suppliers covering overall supplier performance (financial, quality, delivery), technology roadmaps, business growth strategies and supply market changes

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Extensive experience in manufacturing, demand planning and supply chain managementDeep understanding of ERP systems, preferably Oracle.Previous implementation of a companywide S&OP process.Considerable background with company-owned manufacturing operations as well as off-shore suppliersExperience leading a global supply chain operationSolid understanding of technical issues and geo-political risks within the global supply chainTechnologically adept; ability to envision and oversee the implementation of technological solutions to enhance business performanceProject leadership and cross functional leadership experienceAbility to think, plan and implement strategicallyAbility to influence and build consensus among executive leadershipComfortable with ambiguityDecisive and persuasive; drives results with a strong and compelling sense of urgencyStrong organizational skillsExcellent analytical and negotiation skillsAbility to travel internationally

Experience/Qualifications:

Minimum 15 years' experience working in the supply chain planning professionMBA preferredDeep understanding of ERP systems, preferably Oracle.Previous implementation of a companywide S&OP process.

Proven experience developing forecasts, measuring forecast error, and improving forecast accuracy.Recognized as a thought leader within strategic functionDevelops the strategy to address internal or external business issuesProactively identifies and solves the most complex problems that impact the management and direction of the businessResponsible for the development and implementation of the global planning strategyLeads multidisciplinary projects and initiativesHas an extremely deep understanding of the business, financials, products/services, and the market; develops colleagues' and customers' understanding and is recognized as an expert in many areasHas full authority/opportunity to set and negotiate terms with suppliers

License Requirements/Certifications:APICS CPIM preferred but not required
