Rotary and Mission Systems' Training, Logistics and Simulation (TLS) business is Lockheed Martins center of excellence for training and logistics products and services, serving the U.S. military and more than 65 international customers around the world. TLS develops programs that teach service men and women skills to accomplish their most challenging missions flying the worlds most advanced fighter aircraft, navigating ships, and driving armored vehicles.
WHAT WERE DOING
LockheedMartin is looking for a meticulous, results driven Material Planner/Controller to join our logistics crew supporting the multi year AFSOC ACTS II program. In this role you will own the end to end flow of material, from receipt through shipment, while ensuring inventory integrity and compliance with stringent military audit standards. This is a stable, long term opportunity on a recurring contract that directly contributes to mission critical operations.
*This position is contingent upon program award, expected in June 2026, with a tentative start date for August 2026.*
THE WORK
Key Responsibilities (This list is representative, not exhaustive)
Materials Management - Receiving and checking deliveries to ensure that the correct amount and type of stock is delivered.
Data Integrity - Enter, update, and reconcile inventory records in the asset management system with zero tolerance for errors.
Warehouse Operations - Keep the warehouse organized, safe, and compliant with all LockheedMartin, DoD, and OSHA safety protocols. Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and in compliance with company standards.
Physical Inventory & Controls - Conduct regular cycle counts, full inventories, and investigations of damaged, lost, or surplus items.
Order Processing - Prepare and release orders for delivery or pickup, adhering to all military standards (DD 1348, DD 250, DD 1149) and contractual procedures.
Continuous Improvement - Analyze trends, root cause issues, and implement corrective actions to streamline material flow and reduce waste. Proven knowledge of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes and ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts)
Strong computer skills; comfortable with databases, spreadsheets, and inventory software (preferably ATLAS)
Proficient written and oral communication and competent organizational abilities
Practiced ability to dissect complex data, identify root causes, and devise effective solutions
Capable of lifting 50lbs. and operating a forklift (certification required)
Demonstrated success working in collaborative, fast paced environments
Active Secret Clearance Prior to Start ATLAS Inventory software experience
Direct experience with military warehouse operations and DoD shipping standards
Familiarity with key military documentation: DD 1348, DD 250, DD 1149.
Basic understanding of GFE, DFARS, and FAR regulations
Knowledge of material and equipment salvage/disposal processes
