Forklift Operator Job Description As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for handling various tasks related to inventory management, including receiving, picking, and maintaining finished goods. Your role will involve using RF scanners, participating in cycle counting programs, and maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse facility. Responsibilities Receive and verify incoming parts for accuracy from vendors, update computer systems, and place them in appropriate warehouse locations. Pick part orders in both low and high locations using an RF scanner and load orders onto production carts. Participate in cycle counting programs and bin/space consolidation. Maintain general cleanliness and organization of inventory and warehouse facilities. Become cross-trained within the department and assist other departments as necessary. Identify and rectify potential or repetitive errors within departments and amongst associates. Verify the accuracy of work performed by yourself and others to meet customer expectations. Adhere to company handbook, departmental rules, and safety regulations. Maintain warehouse equipment and report any issues promptly. Foster a positive attitude, teamwork, and mutual respect among associates. Participate in company-sponsored activities and training programs. Perform other duties as required. Essential Skills Sit down or stand up forklift operation (minimum 1 year experience). Experience in packing, shipping, and receiving. Material handling and inventory management. Proficiency with RF scanners and loading processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift certification preferred. Why Work Here?
