Under the direction of the Manager Logistics, the Supervisor, Inventory Control leads and manages the team responsible for all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, inventory management, issuing, and shipping of materials, supplies, equipment, and parts. This role also oversees the development, organization, and secure maintenance of archival documents. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Oversees and coordinates inventory control operations across all product storage locations within the Logistics department. Develops and implements physical inventory audit methodologies and ensures accurate reporting. Collaborates with tribal, casino, and resort departments to assess and report on inventory accuracy. 2. Manages and documents inventory transactions, and coordinates scheduling for special and periodic inventory counts. Collaborates closely with the Logistics Manager and Accounting to ensure accurate expense allocation to General Ledger (GL) accounts. Supports the Logistics Management Team in identifying and analyzing inventory discrepancies and related operational process issues on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. 3. Provides guidance to departmental and enterprise teams on the proper care, handling, and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped. Advises on equipment usage and best practices for managing stock. Evaluates and standardizes procedures to enhance inventory accuracy and improve the efficiency of asset and consumable product storage. 4. Establishes inventory control procedures, prepares work schedules, and manages workflow for the Asset Specialist and other departmental team members. Issues clear written and verbal instructions, assigns responsibilities, and reviews work for accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures. 5. Assists the Logistics Manager in evaluating and selecting inventory control equipment to meet departmental needs, while ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated for optimal performance. 6. Ensures adherence to all safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment for team members. Verifies that all incoming shipments are accurately received and properly stored. Develops, implements, and maintains inventory policies and procedures to guide departmental operations. 7. Executes a cycle counting schedule and reconciliation process to maintain inventory accuracy. Assists the Accounting department in investigating purchase order discrepancies. Makes necessary adjustments within the inventory management system in accordance with established policies and procedures. 8. Manages the disposition of aged assets through reuse, liquidation, donation, or disposal, including directing the handling of fully depreciated materials and equipment. Identifies and coordinates with external parties to facilitate the approved liquidation and donation of aged assets and expired consumable products. 9. Performs other duties as assigned to support the ecient operation of the department. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Makes hiring decisions and designs individual development plans with succession planning in mind for all key roles. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Associate's degree in logistics or related field is required. Must have a minimum of three (3) years office/receiving/inventory experience required. Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience preferred. Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA) Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word is required. Experience working with Eatec/Lawson software preferred. LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license. Trained and certified in Power Industrial Equipment efficiency and departmental equipment standards preferred. Authorized Driver: Role requires operation or driving of Tribe-owned vehicles or driving patron vehicles. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the insurance carrier is required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS - ENVIRONMENT The physical demands and working environment described here are representative of those that an employee encounters and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled office setting. Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences. Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally. Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone. Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone. Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility. Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties. Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
