Site Operations Manager, Mobile Repair

Trinity Rail is hiring a Site Operations Manager, Mobile Repair for our Gonzales, TX site. For this position you must relocate to Gonzales, TX.

What you'll do:

• Oversee startup and maintain operations of new mobile repair business and on-site operations
• Ensure the delivery of operating plan targets through individual recognition, performance review, people management and reward
• Work directly with senior leadership in order to develop and implement new business strategies that will enhance the operations of the business
• Establish and maintain direct relationship with customer
• Organize and ensure training for new staff
• Be accountable for the performance and results of a team within their area of responsibility
• Provide technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers
• Participate in interviews of recruited candidates

What you'll need:

• Bachelors degree is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of Leadership/Railcar experience
• Strong knowledge of AAR/FRA rules and regulations pertaining to railcar repair/fabrication, maintenance/design, and applicable standards
• Training and/or knowledge in Hazmat, Welding, Railcar Inspection/Repair, NDE Methodologies, and railcar repair safety
• Customer-focused, excellent relationship building skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records
• Ability to interface effectively with shop personnel and customers
• Experienced with Microsoft office applications including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Must have a valid drivers license and clear driving record
