Manager, Purchasing OperationsDepartment: Purchasing Location: Riedman Campus Hours Per Week: 40Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM SUMMARY: As a Supply Chain Professional, the Purchasing Manager (Acute) role manages procurement operations to ensure excellence in service, achievement of financial targets, productivity maximization, contract management adherence, supplier management and continual cross-training and professional development of team members. Unit/Department Specific Info> RESPONSIBILITIES: + Manages daily operation of procurement professionals + Motivates, trains, supervises, evaluates and addresses disciplinary issues to ensure maximum utilization of individual and team capabilities. + Monitors procurement and contracting operations to ensure optimal price, quality, and service. + Actively leads or participates in RFPs, contract negotiations, proposals, etc. + Ensures professional relationships are cultivated with both internal customers and suppliers while maintaining the highest of ethical standards and customer service. + Skilled in consensus building and project management. Ability to quickly establish credibility and build organizational relationships. + Actively collaborates and encourages collaboration between Procurement, Contracting, Materials Management, and Informatics teams. + Responsible for annual expense reduction of $125,000 + Develops and implements metrics for a variety of procurement-related activities including but not limited to: Savings, Productivity, Transactions, Budgets, etc. + Review and develop system-wide Procurement operations policies, procedures and office practices to continually enhance procurement operations. + Primary backup to the Procurement Compliance Manager in managing and completing system product recalls. + Fosters a collaborative relationship with Accounts Payable to ensure timely invoice reconciliation and supplier resolution. Helps team resolve supplier credit holds as needed. + Adheres to HIPAA compliance, as work is often confidential, sensitive and / or critical in nature and requires a broad working knowledge of organization and health system practices and policies. + Performs other related duties as necessary to support the department and organization. + Lives Rochester Regional Health Values Every Customer Every Encounter Every Time, No Exceptions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: + Bachelors degree preferred + 5 years of Supply Chain/Purchasing experience preferred EDUCATION: LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. PAY RANGE: $65,000.00 - $88,000.00 CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14617 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
