Forklift Operator and Material Handler**
**Job Description**
As a Forklift Operator and Material Handler, you will operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries, moving them efficiently to and from storage areas, machines, loading docks, railroad cars, trucks, or storage facilities. You will handle construction materials including shingles, plywood, insulation, and plumbing supplies, using a scan gun for inventory counts and maintenance. Collaborating with fellow warehouse associates, you will ensure accuracy and speed in customer service, with occasional direct customer interactions.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials.
+ Move materials to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks.
+ Perform inventory counts and maintenance using a scan gun.
+ Collaborate with warehouse associates to ensure customer service excellence.
+ Drive a box truck post-contract, requiring one year of experience.
+ Maintain a clean driving record while driving to Bend and starting as early as 5 am.
+ Be flexible with working hours, accommodating early starts and late finishes.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in warehouse operations and shipping.
+ Proficiency in forklift operation, preferably sit-down forklifts.
+ Familiarity with RF scanner gun usage.
+ Ability to unload trailers manually and lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Attention to detail, teamwork, and reliability.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 6 months to 1 year of box truck driving experience.
+ Flexibility in working hours and willingness to commute to Bend.
