Cherry Picker Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Cherry Picker Operator to join our team at an electrical wiring distributor. You will be responsible for efficiently selecting and pulling orders, maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse, and ensuring safety procedures are followed at all times. Responsibilities Operate cherry picker and other warehouse equipment safely. Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state. Perform daily safety inspections of equipment before use. Receive incoming materials according to WMS processes. Accurately identify, break down, and note discrepancies in materials. Prepare orders for shipping and accurately select, check, and pack UPS orders. Follow designated WMS processes for packing, weighing, manifesting, palletizing, and loading. Essential Skills Experience in picking, RF scanner usage, and order picking. Proficiency in handling materials, inventory control, and paper processing. Ability to accurately stage orders and manage inventory. Additional Skills & Qualifications Understanding of material handling, packaging, and staging orders per order tickets. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a traditional warehouse environment with potential exposure to heat or cold due to seasonal changes. Safety shoes are required, and safety goggles and gloves may also be needed. The role requires the ability to lift up to 70 pounds and to walk and move freely while using material handling equipment. The shift is from 12pm to 9pm, Monday through Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of RICHMOND, Virginia. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
